Impact Details
Facilities Engineering and Infrastructure and an authorized vendor will perform phased Building Management System upgrades in Pavilion B
The Building Management System (BMS) controls the heating and cooling in the building and ensures that temperatures and humidity stay within acceptable ranges while also decreasing energy consumption
Existing controls will be replaced with new controls and sensors to improve system reliability and long‑term maintainability
Work will occur over multiple weekends to minimize weekday operational impact
Only one air conditioning unit will be intermittently affected at a time
Each affected unit will experience approximately 3 to 4 shutdown intervals per day, lasting 20 minutes to up to 1 hour per interval
Additional air conditioning units serving each area will remain operational to maintain comfortable building temperatures
Affected units can be operated in manual mode if needed
Facilities Engineering will actively monitor environmental conditions to maintain patient and staff comfort

AC‑2B intermittently affected
AC‑1B, AC‑3B, and AC‑4B remain operational
