Starting May 29, 2026, there will be underground utility boring and localized excavation to support utilities. This work is part of the ongoing Redwood City Medical Office Building (500 Broadway) construction project, and site development for the brand-new roundabout entrance to both 500 Broadway and the existing Redwood City Pavilions.
- Work will take place adjacent to the Pavilion A/B roundabout
- Four parking stalls for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) near the work area will be temporarily unavailable during the work window
- No additional parking or traffic impacts are expected beyond the temporary loss of the four ADA stalls
- Available ADA parking stalls remain near Pavilions C and D and in the parking garage, meeting the required California Vehicle Code ADA parking stall count
- Signage and parking attendants will direct visitors to available ADA parking near Pavilions C and D
- Golf carts are available on demand at the Call Boxes to take visitors to and from their vehicles
- Crews will maintain safe pedestrian access around active work zones
- This work is part of the previously communicated Pavilion utility boring and requires a time‑sensitive weekday tie‑in to maintain the project schedule
- Most work will use a boring rig and water truck. Some locations may require open excavation supported by a vacuum truck
Area of impact:
- Orange indicates blocked ADA stalls
- Green indicates available ADA parking
