Tri-Valley Lot G Parking Reconfiguration and Temporary Patient Golf Cart Service

• Construction activities in Lot G will support installation of a new water tank, electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking improvements in an area previously used for patient parking
• The project will temporarily reduce overall parking capacity in Lot G from 155 stalls to 126 stalls, resulting in a net reduction of 29 parking spaces during construction
• Patient parking capacity will remain unchanged at 29 stalls through temporary relocation and reassignment of patient-designated parking spaces within the campus
  • Patient-only signage will be installed to support the revised parking configuration
• Patients and visitors traveling between Lot G and the Emergency Department Main Entrance may experience longer walking distances and changing pedestrian routes near the construction area. Wayfinding signage will be installed to help guide vehicle and pedestrian traffic
• Complimentary golf cart transportation will also be available for patients and visitors traveling between the Lot G Patient Parking Area and the Emergency Department Main Entrance
  • Golf cart operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and runs approximately every five minutes
  • Passengers may request service by calling (650) 613-1763
  • Golf cart transportation is not wheelchair accessible. Please call the Hospital transportation Operations Center (HTOC) for alternate patient transportation at (650) 736-8000
• Staff parking availability may be reduced during the construction period
  • Transportation Services will redirect staff to alternate parking locations if parking demand exceeds available capacity
• Clinical services, patient access, and Emergency Department operations are expected to remain available throughout the project
